Getting to know your FlexPai
What is Drag and Share?
In tablet mode, the FlexPai allows you to work on split screen. You can simply drag files from one screen to the other to share.
What are Smart Notifications?
When folded, all incoming calls, messages or emails are displayed on the edge of the device as they are received. The notifications will not interupt you on your home screen.
Where is the fingerprint sensor?
The fingerprint sensor is on the side of the device between the up and down volume buttons.
Where is the headphone input?
The headphone input is the same as the USB-C charging point. A headphone with USB-C connector is included as well as a USB-C to 3.5mm plug transfer cable.
Will all Android apps work on FlexPai?
Most apps are made to adjust from phone screen size to tablet screen size automatically, so many of these will work. However, some apps have different versions for phone and tablet use, so it is possible that they would not function optimally with your FlexPai.
What OS does FlexPai use?
FlexPai uses Royole's Water OSTM which is based on Android 9.
Can I use the FlexPai without creating a Google account?
Yes you can. FlexPai does not currently support Google Services.
What charger should I use?
Please use enclosed Royole charger for fast and safe charging: from 0 to 80% in one hour. Alternatively you can use a certified, 5V adapter, compatible with your region.
Display
Can the display be scratched?
FlexPai's display is treated with a special coating which prevents the screen from scratching in all but extreme cases.
What makes the display shatterproof?
FlexPai's display is made out of Royole's special material for flexible displays. There is no glass used in our displays which in turn prevents them from shattering and breaking like traditional phone displays.
Which aspect ratios does FlexPai have?
Depending on whether the display is folded or expanded, FlexPai has aspect ratios of 4:3, 16:9, 18:9 and 21:6 (edge).
Can the phone fold both ways? (In and out)
No, the FlexPai is designed to bend with the screen folding outwards only.
Will the screen break from regular folding?
The FlexPai is tested to fold over 200,000 times. Even if folded 250 times a day, the screen would still last more than 2 years.
Camera
Why are there no cameras on the back?
Because of FlexPai's unique foldable design and our Dual View Camera Mode there is no need for a camera on the back. Once the device is folded you can simply choose to take front facing photos or selfies as there is a display on both sides of the phone. Just flip the phone around!
How many cameras does the FlexPai have?
The FlexPai has 2 cameras; a 16MP primary camera and a 20MP secondary camera, both located on the side bezel.

Does FlexPai work in my country?
The following networks are supported:

You should check with your local provider for compatibily. Please note that the developer model may require updating before networks are activated.
Does FlexPai work on 5G?
This version of FlexPai is not 5G compatible.
